Tasting Notes
The nose is complex and refined with intense notes of small red fruits and spices. The attack in mouth is frank and, like the nose, fruity and spicy. The mid-palate is rich and we can distinguish a nice tannic structure, thanks to a very elegant wood ageing. The result is harmonious. Representative of the 2018 with this greedy and rich character, the wine starts to reveal itself. It can be enjoyed now after a few hours of opening or a delicate decanting. It also has a nice potential for aging. Ten years certainly. A great moment to celebrate!

Vinification and Aging
It is made in the Hospices' fermenting room, under the authority of Ludivine Griveau, the Hospices de Beaune manager. This Beaune Premier Cru, made from four Premier Cru parcels, is the subject of what is known as a cuvée ronde: the grapes are vinified together, like a separate appellation. After devatting, the wines are put into new barrels, more commonly known as "pièces bourguignonnes" and are sold at auction on the third Sunday of November each year.
